A fun pattern to crochet for the kitchen or home decor.

MATERIALS
Worsted Weight Yarn [31/2 ounces (198 yards) per skein]:
Blue - 2 skeins
Cream - 1 skein
Crochet hook, size Q (15.00 mm)
GAUGE
Rnd 1 = 51/4" x 2"
Note #1: Do not join at end of each round unless instructed. Using a scrap piece of yarn, place marker at beginning of each round, moving marker after each round is complete.
Note #2: entire Basket is worked holding four strands of Blue and two strands of Cream together. To form four working strands from two skeins of yarn, follow label instructions to pull out both ends of yarn from each skein; remove labels and work with ends from both skeins held together.
Ch 8 loosely.
Rnd 1 (right side): 3 Sc in second ch from hook, sc in each ch across to last ch, 3 sc in last ch; working in free loops of beginning ch (Fig. 1), sc in next 5 chs; do not join, place marker: 16 sc.
Note: Work rnds 2-4 in Back loops Only (Fig. 2).
Rnd 2: (2 Sc in each of next 3 sc, sc in next 5 sc) twice: 22 sc.
Rnd 3:
2 Sc in next sc, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) twice, sc in next 6 sc; repeat from once more: 28 sc.Rnd 4: Sc in each sc around.
To decrease, pull up a loop in next 2 sc, YO and draw through all 3 loops on hook(counts as one sc).
Rnd 5: Working in both loops, (decrease, sc in next 12 sc) twice: 26 sc.
Rnd 6: Sc in next 6 sc, decrease, sc in next 11 sc, decrease, sc in next 5 sc: 24 sc.
Rnd 7:
Slip st in next sc, ch 3, skip next sc; repeat from around; join with slip st first st, finish off.GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

When instructed to work in free loops of a chain, work in loops indicated (Fig. 1).
