Crochet a sweater with texture with this warm and cozy sweater pattern. The inspiration for this sweater comes from rich textural effects found in gansey sweaters. It reminds us of sweaters worn by fishermen or just a sweater to keep you warm.
The sweater works well with solid color yarns as it stands out more against the variety of crochet stitches.
The Gansey Sweater is worked sideways, Back and front separately. Sleeves are also worked separate from the bottom up. Add the ribbing edging at the end of the project to complete the sweater. Size adjustments are made easy by extending simple main pattern sections on either side of the center panel.
