The one thing about chevron is that it never goes out of styles especially in crochet.  Chevron is an easy enough stitch to manage as long as you can single crochet and can increase and decrease stitches. 

Chevron afghans can be made in many different sizes, colors and styles. We have a few pattern suggestions below.

First Let's get Started 

With these basic instructions you can create eye-catching color work.  It's an easy way to make your next project happen whether making a blanket or a scarf.

You start with the foundation chain and continue by following the instructions in the link above.

Chevron crochet consists of repeating V shapes. The number of multiples you start with is the same number of Vs you'll make. For example, if you choose a multiple of (12 x 6) + 2, you'll have 6 Vs.

The pattern was Crocheted using Bernat Baby Yarn.  The free crochet pattern that I used was from Red Heart Called Crochet Teddy and Lovey. The teddy bear was originally supposed to be attached to the blanket but I made them separate. The pattern was modified by using alternative colors and yarns than stated to make it my own. I also used safety eyes and a nose for the bear.  If you prefer you can sew the eyes and nose on to create it's look.

When crocheting a pattern you can easily make it your own by changing the yarn colors, adding a ribbon or bow to an item, changing the size, adding a different edging on to the blanket and more!

This is an easy pattern to crochet.

Crochet Bear and Blanket Pattern

Red Heart Crochet Teddy and Lovey Pattern

The original pattern that was used called for Red Heart Soft Baby Yarn, a Size F and Size G Crochet Hook and Stuffing for the Bear. The blanket is trimmed with a white edging and the bear is sewn in place on the blanket which makes it into a lovey for baby.
