Free Crochet Pattern Easy to Crochet Team Blanket Made with Red Heart Yarn

Crochet Team Colors Blanket Pattern

The Team Colors Blanket is an easy to crochet pattern made using your favorite worsted weight yarn. Pattern calls for using Red Heart Heat Wave yarn but we substituted Red Heart Super Saver Yarn for our blanket.

Easy to crochet pattern that you can easily crochet using your favorite sports team colors or choose colors to match a room, or just use up your current yarn. I crocheted my blanket by using colors I currently had in my yarn stash which included Red Heart Yarn in an off white colors, 2 different colors of green yarn and a darker gray yarn.
I alternated the pattern a bit to the way I wanted the colors to flow for my afghan. The original pattern suggested adding fringe to the end of the afghan. You can add the fringe or crochet an edge around your blanket if you prefer. The great thing about patterns is that you can make them your own or crochet them as shown!

Here's the blanket crocheted in Red Heart Heat Wave Yarn

With 6 Stripes. In my version I added a few additional stripes and made it a little larger for a comfy throw. The pattern is for a blanket that measures 52" x 63" and uses a size J/10 crochet hook.

Red Heart Team Colors afghan is an easy single crochet and double crochet pattern. You sc in the dc and dc in the next sc of each row as you go along. This gives is a nice textured look. I like the idea that you can use any of your favorite yarns with this pattern. Note if you do use a different yarn than the pattern suggest the afghan size will vary.
