This Easy to Crochet Scarp Yarn Afghan highlights yarn colors with a V-stitch. I used up my scraps of
Caron and
Bernat Yarns but this would be pretty using multiples of 3 or 4 colors and alternating them.
You can crochet this free pattern in any size you want. I made mine a bit longer to cover a daybed. According to the pattern you start your first color by chaining 207 stitches but I did about 307 to make it a bit larger.

MATERIALS
The pattern below is written for 3 colors but you can use a variety of multiple yarns. If you want a lighter weight afghan try using Caron Simply Soft Yarn or Bernat Lighter Weight Yarn. Using up your scrap yarns to make this will make the gauge and weight vary.
Gauge - In a pattern stitch, 16 sts and 13 rows = 4"/10cm.

1. To change color in the last sc of a row, work last sc of old color to last yarn over, yarn over with new color and
draw through both loops on hook to complete stitch.
2. In the fifth row of the afghan pattern, single crochet stitches are worked into ch-1 spaces 2 rows below the
current row. When working these single crochet stitches, take care to draw the loop of the single crochet up to the
height of the current row. These single crochet stitches are to be worked over the single crochet 1 row below (into
which you would usually work).
