Sam Butcher created this special design for Pat when she was asked by CRAFTS MAGAZINE for a Precious Moments® design to accompany an article on the success of Precious Moments® in counted cross stitch. This article and design first appeared in the September 1988 issue of CRAFTS. The design was also included in the first hardcover Designs by Gloria & Pat, Inc. publication, Sam's Favorites
(now retired), in 1989. The figurine was introduced by Enesco Corp. in the spring of 1994.
